Dentistry & Oral Surgery

Quality veterinary dental care promotes increased longevity and enhanced quality of life for our companion animals. At AERA, not only do we offer on-site pet dental and oral emergency surgical services like jaw and facial fracture repair to restore normal function of these vital anatomic structures, our veterinary dentist and oral surgeon Dr. Jin Jung provides a wide range of specialty services including veterinary periodontics, endodontic, orthodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgeries such as oronasal fistula and palate defect repair, oral cancer surgery, and more to improve the health and comfort of the pets that come through our doors.

Though dogs and cats do not always demonstrate obvious oral pain and discomfort, it does not mean that they are not hurting. Frequently, when dental issues are addressed, owners are amazed at how happy and lively their pets become. Be sure that your pet maintains regular anesthetized oral exams at his or her primary veterinarian to ensure that a hidden dental issue does not go unnoticed. Should your family veterinarian suggest that your pet visit a veterinary dentist or oral surgeon, our medical team can work with you to determine the most appropriate treatment plan for your pet.

If your family veterinarian recommends advanced care from a dental specialist, call us to make an appointment for your pet’s first consultation. At this first visit we will provide an oral exam on your awake pet to see the area in question, discuss, and schedule your pet’s procedure. All of our surgical procedures, dental radiographs, and more in-depth oral examinations and cleanings are done under anesthesia. Our procedures are typically performed on an outpatient basis, though more complex surgery patients may need to stay overnight for pain management and monitoring.
