Anesthesia
Joanne graduated from Cook College of Rutgers University in 1998 with a B.S. in Animal Science. She became a Certified Veterinary Technician after passing the national licensing exam in 1999. She has worked in the AERA surgery department since May of 2000, eventually becoming the Lead Technician, while also acting as the inventory manager for surgical implants/supplies. After a rigorous five year journey, she achieved the designation of Veterinary Technician Specialist in Anesthesia and Analgesia in December of 2018. This makes her one of only a handful of technicians in the greater NYC area with this level of training and experience. Joanne’s goal is to provide the best possible peri-anesthetic care to her patients, keeping them safe, happy, and pain-free. In her spare time, Joanne enjoys crocheting, hanging out with her husband, 3 dogs, and her backyard chickens
